Hells Jingle Bells, a very different Christmas show in the theme of metal.

Guided by Swedish hard rock personalities Mattias & Melker (Rundgång, P3 Apelsin and Pang Pang), the audience will have the mysteries of metal revealed while dining Swedish Christmas specialities. The big voice performing will be Joacim Cans from Hammerfall and his colleague, Oscar Dronjak, will be fronting the house band Metal Monarchs. Several guest vocalists are engaged to partake on different dates. I have been commissioned to do my take on two Christmas classics – Oh holy night and The Little drummer boy. 19 shows are scheduled, but as of yet unconfirmed rumours tells that it might grow substantially. Nevertheless – quite the little oddity.

Early september the band locked the world out and entered Rogue Music to immortalize the ninth installment of the 20 year career. The work is scheduled to go on until the 18th of october when the hard drives are sent to Tue Madsen and his Antfarm studio in Denmark for mixing. If all deadlines are met record label Century Media is expecting to release this baby in february 2010.

In the final hour the rebuild of the studio was at last completed. Paint literally drying on the walls when the first clients entered the door. Safely enough it is my own band Dark Tranquillity who will act lab rats when the premises are used for the first time. More than once during this overhaul things have looked dark enough that I sometimes doubted I would be able to finish at all. So it is with big relief I meet this day and declare this studio - this site - this monstrosity open. Please help yourself to the photo section and check it out.
